I was born and raise in Houston, Texas. While pursuing my chemical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, I experienced theater acting and the rest is history. I am an actor based in New York City. I am proud to be training to run my first marathon in the TCS NYC Marathon in 2019.

James "Face" Yu is a New York City based actor born and bred in Houston, TX.  

He first collaborated, wrote, acted, and created theater as a member of the Silk Mangos, an Asian American theater troupe in Austin, TX.  He shipped himself off to New York where he performed from a three-story-high ceiling while strapped in a safety harness on a chain motor, intrigued audiences from an 8' x 8' x 8' plexiglass cube, carried King Oberon in a satchel, and more, entertaining audiences.  He is an active member of The Nerve Tank, a collaborative performance company.

He is a pianist, lover of role playing video games, and is expected to run his first marathon in the TCS NYC Marathon 2019.
